Steve Rover (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Memento Mori - Life Tracker mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our App.

TL;DR: We don’t collect, store, or share your personal data. Everything stays on your device.

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following information locally on your device only:

Profile Information: Name, birth date, and life expectancy settings
Custom Countdowns: Countdown names, dates, emojis, and colors
App Preferences: Theme settings (dark/light mode), selected profile
Purchase Status: Whether you’ve purchased Pro features (managed by Apple)

Important: This data never leaves your device. We have no servers, no databases, and no way to access your information.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or process:

Personal identifiable information
Location data
Contact information
Usage analytics
Crash reports
Device identifiers
IP addresses
Any other personal data

How We Use Information

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

You control your data: Only you have access to your information

No advertising: We don’t use your data for ads (we don’t even show ads)

We do not share your data with anyone because we don’t have access to it.

Apple In-App Purchases

When you make a purchase:

Apple processes the transaction through their secure payment system
Apple manages your subscription status
We only receive a confirmation that you’ve made a purchase (no payment details)

Your data is as secure as your device:

All data is stored using iOS’s secure storage mechanisms
Data is protected by your device’s passcode/biometric authentication
Data is included in your device backups (iCloud/iTunes)
If you delete the App, all data is permanently deleted

Delete: Delete the App to remove all data

Export: Currently not supported (all data stays local)

International Users

The App works the same way regardless of your location. Since all data is stored locally on your device, international data transfer regulations don’t apply.

Your data is retained on your device until:

You delete the App
You reset your device
You manually delete profiles or countdowns within the App
